Cal Poly Arts Announces 2007-2008 Season Performances
'Weird Al,' Altan, Cirque-Works, the Shaolin Warriors, blues legend Mavis Staples and a full slate of classical and pop concerts plus comedy and theater performances are on the lineup for Cal Poly Arts 2007-2008 season performances, announced Friday, June 15. Orders for subscription tickets for the new 2007-08 Cal Poly Arts performing arts season will be on sale available to new subscribers at the Performing Arts Center Ticket Office as of June 23, 2007.

International Choral Festival
Comes to Cohan Center June 29-July 1
The Vocal Arts Ensemble opens the California International Choral Festival & Competition by performing for the competing choirs. To welcome them, the ensemble sings selections in each of their native languages. With all of the choirs in attendance, this concert begins a joyful celebration of the Festival.

East Village Opera Company
Performs July 6
The East Village Opera Company will perform as part of the Mozart Festival at 6 p.m. July 6. Two trained opera singers front and 11-member band that melds the towering emotion and timeless musicality of opera's greatest arias into the 21st century sound of Rock and Roll.

Comedienne Kathy Griffin Plays the PAC July 7
Petite, scarlet-haired riotous. Kathy Griffin found celebrity first on TV's "Suddenly Susan" and has earned fame for her indignant stand up comedy and her Bravo series, "My Life on the D-List." Emmy nominated, Griffin is a multi-faceted performer with a rapid fire wit. Best known for her four-years on the sitcom "Suddenly Susan" opposite Brooke Shields, Kathy's stand-up comedy landed her a series of HBO and Bravo specials. Come see her in the Cohan Center at 8 p.m. July 7.

Mozart Fest Presents 'Night of Drama' July 14
A Mozart Festival first: a night at the theatre featuring an original video production set to Ravel's orchestral masterpiece. Daphni's and Chloe's adventures are chronicled on screen through projected lithographs by Marc Chagall depicting the pair's life together in this evening performance.

Classic Musical 'Peter Pan' in Spanos Theatre July 20-22
Fly away on a spectacular journey of wonder and excitement into the magical world of Neverland in this beloved Broadway musical. Come join Peter, Wendy and the Lost Boys on their swashbuckling adventure to save Tinkerbell from the villainous Captain Hook, his bumbling sidekick Smee and their crew of dastardly pirates! The performances are fit for young and old and feature stunning special effects, sumptuous sets and costumes, and a good helping of fairy dust. Performances are July 20-22 and July 27-29 in the Spanos Theatre.

Charismatic American pianist William Wolfram has thrilled audiences internationally and has
recently performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony among others.

Mozart Festival Grand Finale is July 22 at the PAC
The Mozart Festival presents its Grand Finale concert July 22 in the Chistopher Cohan Center. The evening is titled "Haydn - The Creation, an Oratorio in Three Parts."
