First Professors, Families Move Into University Housing

Drawing of Bella Montana with wordingSAN LUIS OBISPO -- The first professors and their families are moving into Bella Montana, the university's faculty and staff housing project at the corner of Highway 1 and Highland Drive in San Luis Obispo. Families moved into the first completed phase of the three-part project

."I love its proximity to campus and town, and that we can still drive to the ocean. It's also big enough for the whole family," Chris Clark, a computer science professor teaching his first quarter at Cal Poly, told the Mustang Daily.

The housing is a project of the nonprofit, university-affiliated Cal Poly Housing Corporation (CPHC). Since 2001, the company has assumed responsibility for the development of housing for faculty and staff members.
