Cal Poly RPTA Department Creates Sustainable Tourism Marketing Handbook
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly’s Recreation, Parks, & Tourism Administration Department paired with the California Travel & Tourism Commission to create the Sustainable Tourism Marketing Handbook.
The handbook was created by Bill Hendricks, head of the RPTA department; faculty member Jerusha Greenwood; graduate student Tyson Stockton; and undergraduate student Dani Correll.
The handbook provides examples of best practices from 30 California sustainable tourism organizations. It was presented to more than 200 industry professionals at the California Sustainable Tourism Summit last month in Lake Tahoe.
The annual summit provides industry professionals with information on how to better market their sustainable tourism product, service or organization.
