Cal Poly to Host Talk on Sustainable Agriculture Practices Nov. 16

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly’s Center for Sustainability will host a talk by Cliff Ohmart, titled “SureHarvest and the 5 Ps of Sustainability” from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Construction Innovations Center, Room 186.

The talk is free and open to the public.

Ohmart is vice president of professional services at SureHarvest, leading work in the design, implementation and evaluation of sustainability strategies for the agri-food supply chain. Prior to joining SureHarvest in 2009, he served as the sustainable winegrowing director at the Lodi Winegrape Commission, which he helped establish as an international leader in sustainable farming practices.

Ohmart received his doctorate in Entomological Sciences in 1976 from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s in Forest Entomology from the SUNY
