Make the Most of Salsa, Salads and BLTs with Cal Poly Tomatoes

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly’s Tomato Mania hits the Central Coast on April 2 and 3, with the 10th annual Tomato Mania Sale at the Poly Plant Shop.

Cal Poly’s best and brightest students will be on hand to answer visitor questions and sell the more than 75 heirloom tomato varieties they raised on campus. Many of the “tried and true” varieties popular with Central Coast residents will be available, including the “Murray Smith,” the Beefmaster and the Green Zebra.

The sale takes place through April, while supplies last.

The Poly Plant Shop is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is located on campus on Via Carta, across from the horse unit.
