Cal Poly 12th Annual Dairy Ingredients Symposium is a Success
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly recently hosted its 12th annual Dairy Ingredients Symposium in San Francisco, Calif.
During the two-day event COMMA HERE approximately 182 attendees from 20 states and 10 countries gained new insight on the science, technology and business of dairy ingredients. The program included 23 oral presentations and 10 technical posters.
“The event provides the food and beverage industry with the best opportunity to access comprehensive new technical and marketing information on dairy ingredients,” said Phil Tong, director of Cal Poly’s Dairy Product Technology Center.
The symposium was sponsored by Cal Poly’s Dairy Products Technology Center and the U.S. Dairy Export Council and was managed by Dairy Management, Inc. and California Dairy Research Foundation.
Joe O’Donnell, executive director of the California Dairy Research Foundation, believes the program has become one of the key meetings for the dairy ingredients sector. “We are happy to partner with Cal Poly to deliver this program. It is these types of programs that help insure that valuable market and research information is transferred to the industry to utilize for the benefit of the entire dairy industry,” said O’Donnell.
