Cal Poly Hosting Free Workshop on ‘Green’ Grass Landscaping

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Find out how to use grass and turf on the roof, on the wall, and as pavement in a free workshop at Cal Poly May 14.

Cal Poly’s Sustainable Agriculture Resource Consortium and the Horticulture and Crop Science Department will host “Innovations in Green Landscaping” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in room B-5 in the Science Building.

The event will outline the latest developments in permeable pavements, green roofing and green walls. Presenters are George Irwin and Al Green. Irwin is the founder of Green Living Technologies, a company that supplies green roof and green wall materials for food and horticultural uses. Green is the owner of Pro Edge. The Morro Bay company specializes in grass pavement, gravel pavement and water retention systems for hardscapes and turf.
