Cal Poly Organic Farm Spring/Summer Produce
Subscription Season Begins April 7

SAN LUIS OBISPO – It’s that time of year again: time to sign up for fresh weekly veggies from the Cal Poly Organic Farm. The farm is now accepting members for the spring and summer season of its community supported agriculture program.

The season will run from April 7 thru mid-September. Along with a box of fresh produce weekly, subscribers receive a newsletter detailing recipes for vegetables included in each week’s harvest share, along with community announcements.

What’s in the fresh produce boxes varies weekly, depending on what’s in season. Spring-summer crops include lettuce, onions, arugula, basil, beets, carrots, tomatoes, corn, bell peppers, sprouts, eggplant, zucchini, strawberries and more.

A large share subscription, designed to feed a household of three to five people, costs $26.50 a week. A small share, designed for a household of one to two, costs $19 a week. Subscribers can sign up for 10 or 24-week subscriptions. Payments can be split be made in one to three installments.

The popular, one-time “Gift of Veggies” gift certificates are back, and available for $26.50 to accommodate those wanting a one-time sample harvest share.

Subscribers can pick up their produce at Cal Poly’s Organic Farm on Mondays or Thursdays, or at countywide drop-site locations for an additional fee of $1/week.
