High School Students to Attend Summer Camp
at Cal Poly College of Engineering July 14-18

WHAT: Second Annual Engineering Days Summer Camp for High School Students,
Presented by Cal Poly College of Engineering
WHERE: Advanced Technology Labs and Bonderson Engineering Center,
Cal Poly Campus
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 14-18
Event Information:
This event is a week long day camp that features sixteen different interactive labs for students to learn about engineering. The focus is on underrepresented groups, including minorities and women.
Students will attend class sessions and experience several concentrations of engineering which may include: aerospace, biomedical and general, civil and environmental, computer, computer science and software, electrical, industrial and manufacturing, materials, mechanical, and architectural engineering.
Funding has been provided by industry and over $9,000 in scholarships has been awarded to campers. Many high school students from Santa Maria to Paso Robles will benefit from this camp, with an estimated 96 students scheduled to attend.
On Friday, July 18 at 3:30 p.m. completed student projects from the camp will be on display in the Advanced Technology Labs, Room 104.
