Cal Poly Business Students Host Photography Exposition Nov. 14
Tango for Three: a photographic journey in the land of Argentina
SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly Wheelchair Foundation will host a reception and photography exposition titled “Tango for Three: a photographic journey in the land of Argentina” on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Lobby. The free, public event will also feature a presentation by Nipool Patel, of the San Luis Obispo Rotary, on Malawi, Africa and how the country might benefit from the gift of wheelchairs.
The exhibition will feature photographs of the Cal Poly Wheelchair Foundation’s trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the team sent 880 wheelchairs.
Exhibition photographs show team members interacting with wheelchair recipients at Don Orione’s Pequeno Cottelengo de Claypole, a care-center for the physically and developmentally challenged. Other photographs show the team visiting a children’s soup kitchen, a cancer center, and a recreational facility where they donated toys, clothes, supplies.
Reprints of the photographs will be available for purchase, and donations are always welcome.
