ASI Presents 'Dusk 'til Dawn' Celebration Oct. 25

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- ASI Events presents the third annual "Dusk ‘til Dawn" celebration at the Cal Poly Recreation Center on Thursday, Oct. 25.

The event will be held from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m. with action-packed activities all night long. Cal Poly students are admitted free with their Cal Poly I.D.; non-students can attend for $15. The Recreation Center will remain open for regular participants during the event.

The idea for this student planned and operated event began with the desire to provide late-night programming as a fun alternative to drinking or partying for Cal Poly students.

“Plan on making it a late night at Dusk ‘til Dawn because you are going to want to stay for the whole thing,” said Michael Annuzzi, musical entertainment supervisor for ASI.

Activities will include a super mega obstacle course, mechanical bull, jousting arena, big-glove boxing, high striker, DDR, Halo, Gears of War and Guitar Hero.

Kona’s Deli will sponsor the event with free food, and OneWay Boardshop will host a snowboard raffle. Musical entertainment for the evening includes Siko, Still Time (formerly The New Longview) and OneRepublic with its hit song Apologize, featured on rapper Timbaland’s new CD.

“If you’re not there, you are missing out; if you are there, you will be talking about Dusk ‘til Dawn for months,” said ASI Events Student Manager John Schiesser,.
