Elizabeth Kucinich to Speak at Cal Poly Nov. 13
Presidential candidate’s wife to discuss environment and community involvement
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Humanitarian and environmentalist Elizabeth Kucinich will speak at an open discussion at Cal Poly on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 11:10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Alex and Faye Spanos Theatre.
Kucinich, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, will speak on a range of topics including sustainable solutions for living the “American Dream,” environmental justice and the importance of Generation Y’s involvement in current social and political issues.
Kucinich is an international activist and humanitarian. Student admission is free with an ID card. General admission is $5. All proceeds benefit Cal Poly’s Alternative Spring Breaks.
Alternative Spring Breaks is a student-initiated non-profit program that is part of Cal Poly’s Student Community Services. ASB sends Cal Poly students around the country to do service work during academic breaks.
