Law Enforcement Test Preparation Class to be Offered at Cal Poly June 2
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly Continuing Education will offer a one-day class for individuals considering a law enforcement career on June 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The class is designed to inform and prepare candidates for the testing and selection process used by California law-enforcement agencies, with emphasis on avoiding common mistakes.
The class will cover department selection, application preparation, physical agility testing, written test, oral interview preparation, questions and techniques, background examination, medical examination, psychological examination and truth verification.
The instructor, Sergeant Steve Himmelrich, has served more than 18 years in the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department. His experience includes 28 years of law enforcement, including more than nine years with the Pasadena Police Department.
