Learn Holiday Floral Crafts, Sample Fruit at Poly Plant Shop This Weekend

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Poly Plant Shop is holding its annual Holiday Open House this Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday's events include holiday floral design demonstrations with florist Michael Quesada and samples and tasting of Cal Poly-grown fruit.

Saturday's events include Poinsettia care tips, Poinsettia painting, and a bay wreath making class.

Houseplants, flowers, bedding plants, holiday arrangements and student-grown Poinsettias will be on sale both days. For details visit the Poly Plant Shop Web site, www.polyplantshop.com.

To get to the plant shop, take the Highland Drive entrance to Cal Poly. Turn left on Via Carta, and follow the signs to the Horticulture Unit and Poly Plant Shop, across from the Horse Unit. Metered parking is available in front of the shop. Parking is free on Saturdays on campus.
