Cal Poly Club to Host Information Night for the Ray Scherr Business Plan Competition
SAN LUIS OBISPO - Cal Poly's Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) club will host Information Night for the Third Annual Ray Scherr Business Plan Competition onWednesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in Cal Poly's Sandwich Factory, building 19-A.
The competition is open to university students, faculty, staff and San Luis Obispo community members. Any individual and/or group with a prospective business idea is encouraged to enter the competition. The final business plans will be submitted March 5, 2006. Prizes for the winning business plans include $4,000 for the winner, $2,000 for the first runner-up, and $1,000 for the second runner-up.
Information Night attendees will learn about the competition, may exchange ideas, and may possibly form teams. Free pizza and drinks will be provided by SIFE.
