Cal Poly Announces Scholarship Winners
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Cal Poly Women's Studies Program has announced the recipients of three scholarships.
Andrea J. Terry, a speech communications major from Atascadero, was awarded the James M. Duenow Scholarship, recognizing a Cal Poly student who has demonstrated a commitment to the rights of women, specifically to an individual considering a career as a feminist attorney.
Joanna G. Jones, an English graduate student who also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Cal Poly, was selected to receive the L. Diane Ryan Scholarship, which recognizes a student who has demonstrated a commitment to the rights of women. The award specifically targets a student who shows the potential to provide moral leadership in tomorrow's work force. Jones hails from Sonora.
Heather L. Agrusa, a speech communications major from Arroyo Grande, will receive the Nell E. Spradlin Scholarship awarded to a College of Liberal Arts student who has demonstrated individuality, exceptional outlook, insight and spirit.
