Cal Poly Rose Float Holding Concept Contest
to Seek Ideas for 2006 Float Entry
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Cal Poly Rose Float Program
is currently holding
a concept contest to gather design ideas for its 2006 Rose Parade
float
entry. The 2006 Rose Parade theme will be announced January 21,
but the
program is soliciting general concept entries in the meantime. Once
the
theme is announced, it will be posted on the
Cal Poly Rose Float
website.
Concepts may be submitted as a written idea or sketched
design, and
should include the name, phone number and e-mail address of the
person
entering the concept, written neatly on the back of the entry. Entries
with identifying marks on the front cannot be accepted. The maximum
entry size is 18 x 24 inches. Entries are due by 5 p.m. on Friday,
February 4, and should be submitted to Cal Poly Rose Float Program,
Attn: Concept Contest, UU Epicenter, Cal Poly, San
Luis Obispo, CA
93407. All entries become property of Cal Poly Rose Float Program
and
cannot be returned. Entries may also be submitted to the Rose Float
office located in the University Union, room 209, on the Cal Poly
campus.
The concept contest is open to everyone, and the winning
entry will
be used for the 2006 Cal Poly float. The contest winner will receive
two
tickets to the 2006 Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena or cash equivalent.
In
the event of multiple winners, the cash value will be split equally.
