ASI Events Presents Cal Poly Student's Exhibit of Photographs
"Landscape of Japan" will be in the UU Gallery

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- "The Landscape of Japan," a Cal Poly student's collection of photographs of Japan, will be the next ASI Events show on display in the University Union Gallery at Cal Poly Feb. 3-15. Third year computer science student Brett Bojduj's photos will be on display Feb. 3 through Feb. 15 in the UU Gallery.

The exhibit is free and can be viewed 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday through Thursday and 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday. An opening reception for the exhibit will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, from 6-8 p.m. in the UU Gallery. The artist will be present for questions and discussion. The event is open to all community members. Free refreshments will be provided.

Brett Bojduj traveled to Japan in the summer and winter of 2003. The photographs he took represent different aspects of Japan, past and present, unified by themes of peace and beauty. "So many people do not have a true perspective of their place in the world," Bojduj said. "Through my photographs I hope to share the beauty I experienced and help others gain an international perspective."

Bojduj is also showing some of his photographs at the "Jamaica You" hair salon throughout January and February. Bojduj would like to expand his work to encompass more natural beauty, unspoiled by modern society.

The UU Gallery is located on the second floor of the University Union in the Epicenter.
ASI Events and UU Gallery regularly seek out student art for display. All mediums are welcome.
