Jan. 31
With "The J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All"
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Associated Students, Inc. Events presents sex
educator Jay Friedman Monday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. in Chumash Auditorium.
Friedman, an award-winning writer, speaker, sex educator and provocateur,
will present a humorous and insightful look at love, sex and dating.
His show, "The J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All," is like
the "Vagina Monologues" but for all parts of the body.
Friedman's
mission is to inform, provoke and challenge while showing his audience
how to make sex safer and more pleasurable.
"It is important to have such an honest and open discussion
on our campus," said Brian Bosch, ASI's student supervisor
of special events. "Besides, what college student can resist
a fun and informative look at sex?"
The presentation will cover issues such as dating and relationships,
pursuit of pleasure, erotica vs. pornography, AIDS and safer sex,
rape and sexual violence, sex and alcohol, homophobia and
more. Friedman combines his expertise as a sex educator, experience
as a disc jockey and playful sense of humor to educate as well as
entertain.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Entry will be on a first come first served
basis and seats are limited for general admission. Students with
Cal Poly IDs are FREE and general admission will be $5 at the door.
