Winetasting ‘Afternoon Amidst the
Oaks’ April 30
Will Benefit Cal Poly Viticulture Program
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Cal Poly Vines to Wines Club is hosting its third annual “Afternoon Amidst the Oaks” Saturday, April 30, at Santa Margarita Ranch to benefit the university’s growing viticulture program.
The event will feature selections from 50 California wineries accompanied by food from Central Coast restaurants, as well as Cal Poly cheeses and chocolates. The annual event is planned, organized and run by student members of Cal Poly’s Vines to Wines Club.
“An Afternoon Amidst the Oaks” will begin at 3 p.m.
Saturday, April 30, in the vineyards of the historic Santa Margarita
Ranch just north of San Luis Obispo. “We’re encouraging
Cal Poly alumni, parents, supporters and community members to attend
– anyone who likes good wine and good food,” said club
member Molly Stroebel.
Tickets are $50 per person general admission or $30 for Cal Poly
students, faculty and staff. (All attendees must be 21.) To purchase
tickets, send a check made out to Vines to Wines Club, c/o Molly
