Cal Poly Hosts Feb 7-8 Symposium on Dairy Market Trends
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Nearly 100 professionals from 17 states are attending a dairy market trend seminar at The Cliffs in Shell Beach Feb. 7-8, sponsored by the Dairy Products Technology Center at Cal Poly.
In addition to dairy marketing trends, the two-day symposium will address a number of topics, including nutrient fortification, ingredient quality and extending shelf life, technical developments in dairy ingredients process technology, and understanding the functional properties of dairy ingredients.
“The program is designed to provide useful marketing insights and technical information for suppliers and end users of dairy ingredients,” said symposium organizer Professor Phillip Tong. “Food research and development professionals will find this year’s program particularly noteworthy.”
Program questions can be directed to coordinator Laurie Jacobson at (805) 756-6097 or ljacobso@calpoly.edu.
