Cal Poly Hosting New Web Site on Opportunities to Volunteer
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Looking to volunteer? There's a new Web site on the Central Coast listing lots of options.
VolunteerSLO, at www.volunteerslo.org, is a free, comprehensive Web site that lists volunteer opportunities throughout San Luis Obispo County.
VolunteerSLO was created with grant funding and is supported entirely by the Cal Poly Community Center, a part of Cal Poly's Student Affairs division. The students and staff at the Community Center designed the site and are working in partnership with United Way of San Luis Obispo County and other local non-profit agencies.
Anyone interested in volunteering or posting a volunteer opportunity should check out VolunteerSLO.org, said Cal Poly Community Center program coordinator Joy Pedersen.
