Three Finalists Selected In Search for Cal Poly Provost

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Cal Poly has selected three finalists in its search for a new provost.

The finalists will be on campus April 28-29, May 2-3, and May 9-10, meeting with university groups; they will also meet with students, faculty and staff at open forums on campus.

The forums will be held in room 220 of Cal Poly's University Union. Finalists and forum times are:

The new provost will succeed Paul Zingg, who became president of California State University Chico in early 2004. Robert Detweiler has since served as interim provost.

At Cal Poly, the provost has responsibility for overseeing the university's educational programs, research, library services, information technology services, admissions and enrollment management, and intercollegiate athletics program.
