in UU Gallery Through Nov. 15
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- ASI Events will display Cal Poly journalism student
Nick Coury's
photography October 8 through mid-November in the UU Gallery. The exhibit,
"Life or Something Like It," is free and runs from 8 a.m. to
6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.
The exhibit will openFriday, October 8, from 6-7:30 p.m. in
the UU Gallery, located in the Epicenter. The artist will be present for
questions and discussion. The event is open to all community members.
Free refreshments will be provided.
On display will be a collection of Coury's black and white photography,
color photography and poetry representing all facets of life. Coury's
photographs feature scenery and still life.
When asked what inspires him to create the pieces to be displayed
at his show, Coury replied, "I take pictures so we can see the beauty
of
God's creation up close and personal and so we can see life in a
different view."
The UU Gallery is located on the second floor of the University Union
in the Epicenter.
ASI Events and UU Gallery regularly seek out student art for display.
All mediums are welcome.
