Oct. 8 Auction, Dinner Will Benefit Cal Poly Business Student Conference
SAN LUIS OBISPO – A hot-air balloon ride over Napa, a whale-watching
trip, tickets to A’s and Dodgers baseball games, gym memberships,
art
and wine are just a few of the $25,000 worth of items on the list at the
7th Annual International Career Conference Auction Oct. 8.
A team of 20 Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business students puts on the
International Career Conference every spring as their senior project,
and the annual fall auction that raises most of the money to finance it.
This year’s ICC Auction begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at the
Embassy
Suites Hotel in San Luis Obispo. The silent auction will begin when the
doors open, and the live auction begins at 7 p.m. Tickets can be
purchased for $5 at the door. The event offers hors d’ oeuvres and
a
no-host bar.
“The ICC team is hoping to raise most of the funding needed in
order to
hold the conference. I am proud to say that our team has worked
extremely hard and received over $25,000 worth of merchandise to be
auctioned off. We’re counting on the community to support this event,”
said student and ICC Executive Director Nadia Lee.
