Cal Poly to Hold Auditions for Production of 'Macbeth'
SAN LUIS OBISPO - The Cal Poly Theatre and Dance Department will hold auditions for its winter quarter production of "Macbeth" from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday, Nov. 21-22 in the Davidson Music Center, Room 212.
"Forged by love and destroyed by blood, the fatalistic journey of Shakespeare's most famous husband-and-wife duo boldly displays what happens when the promises of greatness spiral into n relentless massacre of uncontrollable proportions," said Assistant Professor Josh Machamer in describing the plot.
Those who audition will be asked to recite 16 lines of Shakespearean verse (not from Macbeth) or selected readings that will be available at the door.
