Mutlicultural Center Sponsors Culture Fest May 22
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly’s Culture Fest 2004 is coming
to San Luis
Obispo’s Mission Plaza May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event features crafts, a dance workshop, a
bounce house, entertainment and refreshments put on by more than 25 of
the university’s student clubs. The event is sponsored by Cal Poly’s
Multicultural Center, Student Life and Leadership, and Associated
Students Inc.
The theme for this year’s Culture Fest is “Tapestry of Tradition,”
said
Natalia Grandilert, event co-chair. “We’re hoping to encourage
the
community to celebrate old traditions and to come together to create new
ones,” she said.
