Eighth Annual Integrated Pest Management Conference Set for June 10-11

and the Cal Poly Environmental Horticultural Science Club will sponsor
the eighth annual Environmental Horticulture Integrated Pest Management
Conference June 10 and 11 in the San Luis Obispo Veterans’ Hall
at 801
Grand Avenue.
Topics at this year’s conference include: use of soil and foliar
analysis to minimize pest problems, plant nutrient status and pest
management, pesticides in nursery runoff, biocontrol updates, new
research on snail control, liverwort control, fungus, gnat problems,
turf diseases and fungicide resistance in turf, insecticides in
floriculture, and selection of plants to minimize pest problems in
landscape. The conference schedule includes lectures, hands-on workshop
sessions and an all-day trade show.
Presenters include faculty from Cal Poly, the University of Illinois,
UC
Riverside, the UC Integrated Pest Management project and industry. The
conference offers 13.5 continuing education units with the California
Department of Pesticide Regulation.
Cost is $155 before April 15 and $180 after. Registration forms and more
