Cal Poly University Art Gallery To Open Exhibit of Cuban Political

at Cal
Poly’s University Art Gallery with a slide presentation at 6 p.m.
Wednesday (Jan. 14) in the Dexter Building, Room 227.
The public is invited to the
free talk and a reception in the gallery
from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 14.
The exhibit is on loan from
the American Institute of Graphic Arts in
New York. It features original Cuban posters from the 1950s to the
1990s.
Senior art and design student

LaPorte, chose this show to give the community an opportunity to see
examples of Cuban government supported graphic design, according to
Barbara Morningstar, University Art Gallery curator.
The exhibit runs through Feb.
4. Admission to the University Art Gallery
is free. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday
and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The exhibit is sponsored by
Cal Poly’s College of Liberal Arts, Art and
Design Department, Instructionally Related Activities program, and Cal
Poly Arts. For more information call Morningstar at 756-56038 or
