Students, Community Remember Martin Luther King, Jr.
Some 100 students, faculty and staff joined the 2004 Martin Luther King Jr. march on the Cal Poly Campus Thursday (Jan. 15).
After hearing remarks from noted author, historian and civil rights activist Roger Wilkins in the University Union, the crowd gathered and marched through campus to Dexter Lawn, observing a moment of silence before sharing thoughts about King.
Classes
will not be in session Monday (Jan. 20) and university
offices will be closed in honor of the Martin Luther
King Jr. Day Holiday. But Cal Poly's Student Community
Services office has a full schedule of activities
planned for "We're In This Together" Week
next week.
