Cal Poly Golf Tournament Benefits Youth Arts Program
SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Performing Arts Center is holding the benefit
2004
PAC Swing Golf Tournament Monday, May 10, at the San Luis Obispo Country
Club.
The tournament is a fund-raiser for the Youth Outreach for the
Performing Arts Center program. Play will begin with a shotgun start at
1 p.m. May 10. Players can compete in two-person Best Ball or two-person
Scramble format. Awards will be given in both categories.
For the $175 entry fee, participants will receive:
• 18 holes of golf at the San Luis Obispo
County Club, one of the
coast's premier courses; including range balls and cart; pitch,
putt
and driving competitions; complimentary beer and soft drinks on
the
course;
• Tee prizes;
• 1 free raffle ticket to win golf for two at Torrey Pines
Championship Golf Course in San Diego - home of the PGA's Buick
Invitational and the 2008 U.S. Open - including a one-night stay at
the
Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines;
• Dinner for two in the San Luis Obispo Country Club dining
room
following play, including open bar.
Proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Youth Outreach
for
the Performing Arts Center (YOPAC) program in an effort to bring more
local school children on to the stage of the Christopher Cohan Center
and provide them with entertainment opportunities. YOPAC programs
include: Young Artists Onstage – local students perform at the PAC;
Student Matinees –
Touring artists perform for young audiences.
