ASI Events Presents Spring Fashion Show, Raffle May 13
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- ASI Events presents the "Spring into Fashion"
show and benefit raffle Thursday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to noon in the
University Union Plaza in support of mental
health awareness month. The sponsored event is aimed to raise awareness
for the community based non-profit organization Transitions Mental
Health Association.
Cal Poly students will model spring and summer clothing from Central
Coast Surfboards,
Uptown Jeans Co., Lucky Lu Lu's, Therapy, aimmemichelle.com, Tiamo, Farm
Supply, and El Corral Bookstore. Also, Wild 106.1 will be on sight with
a special appearance from DJ Swiss.
The show also includes a raffle offering the chance to win gifts from
the sponsoring
clothes stores. Raffle tickets will be available starting May 6 in
the UU Plaza and El Corral Bookstore for $1 each.
TMHA's mission is to provide housing, employment, case management
and advocacy for children, adults and seniors who suffer from mental
illness and/or have been homeless in the San Luis Obispo and Santa
Barbara Counties.
TMHA also provides support through the recovery process of acceptance,
hope and encouragement, a clear understanding of the mental illness, and
the tools and confidence to become an advocate while educating others
in
the community.
