ASI Craft Center Presents its Annual Spring Craft Sale May 5-7

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Craft Center is hosting its annual Spring Craft Sale May 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily in the University Union Plaza. The event is open to the public and the community is invited. Metered parking is available nearby in the administration building parking lot, or visitors can by a single-day parking pass good in most campus parking lots.

The three-day sale will feature handcrafted pieces by local artists. Past sales have included
paintings, photos, ceramics, stained glass, jewelry, and handmade papers.

"Come check it out," said ASI Program Coordinator Mandi Hudson. "If you need directions or a parking permit once on Cal Poly's campus, stop at the Information Booth at the Grand Avenue entrance to campus."

The Craft Center hosts two craft sales a year, and both are an opportunity for local and student artists and craftsmen to gain exposure and sell their work.

"I always find the most unique and original gifts at these craft sales; my Mom loves them, and I feel good about supporting fellow students," said Jenny Gaunt, who has shopped at previous craft sales.

Those interested in selling their work should come to the Craft Center, located downstairs in the University Union, and fill out an application by April 30.
