About University Communications
A department of the President’s Office, the University Communications office is responsible for communicating about Cal Poly to our campus community and our external constituents and working with news media to tell Cal Poly's story.
University Communications produces Cal Poly Report, the weekly (except during academic breaks) online newsletter for campus employees. Visit the Cal Poly Report index page for the latest edition, an archive of recent past editions, and information on how to submit an item for inclusion.
University Communications publicizes campus stories and events to news media. Campus divisions, departments and programs may submit press releases to the University Communications office for review and distribution. Find out more here.
University Communications also administers the Campuswide Announcements channel on the Cal Poly Portal. Find out more here on how to submit an item for inclusion.
University Communications is also the first point of contact for anyone wishing to undertake commercial filming or still photography on campus. For more information, including downloadable location agreement application and insurance information, click here.
